Spain Student Visa
Overview
The Spain Student Visa (Type D) is a long-term visa that allows non-EU/EEA/Swiss nationals to study, train, or participate in internships, research, or volunteer programs in Spain for periods exceeding 90 days. It is designed for international students enrolled in full-time programs at recognized educational institutions, such as universities, language schools, or vocational courses. This visa also permits part-time work (up to 30 hours per week) under certain conditions and can be a pathway to other residency options after studies.
Residency Duration
- The visa is valid for the duration of the study program, typically ranging from 6 months to 1 year, depending on the course length.
- For programs longer than 6 months, students must apply for a Foreigner Identity Card (TIE) within 30 days of arrival, which serves as a residency permit for the duration of the visa.
- The visa can be renewed annually if the student continues their studies and meets renewal requirements.
- After completing studies, students may apply for a 12-month non-renewable “job search” permit or convert the visa to a work or residency permit under specific conditions (e.g., after 3 years of continuous study for a work permit).
Price
10K € for college ( it will include 1 year college and admission fees, all the visa processing fees and concierge services from our side )
15K € for university ( it will include Admission process, visa and concierge services from our side but University fees are not included and clients must pay for university fees.)
Processing Time
- Typically 2–4 weeks, but can take up to 3 months during peak periods (e.g., before the academic year starts).
- Applications should be submitted 2–3 months (or at least 90 days) before the study program begins to account for potential delays.
- If applying from within Spain (e.g., transitioning from a tourist visa), processing may take 3–6 months, and applications must be filed at least 30 days before the current legal stay expires.
✅Legal Stay: Allows stays in Spain for over 90 days, up to the duration of the study program.
✅Part-Time Work: Permits up to 30 hours of work per week, provided it does not interfere with studies and a work permit is obtained from the immigration authorities.
✅Family Accompaniment: Spouses or children under 18 can join the student for stays longer than 6 months, subject to financial proof (75% of IPREM for the first family member, 50% for additional members).
✅Residency Pathway: Time spent on a student visa (with a TIE card) can count toward long-term residency or nationality if converted to a work or residence permit.
✅Schengen Mobility: Allows travel within the Schengen Area for up to 90 days within a 180-day period.
✅Post-Study Opportunities: After completing studies, students can apply for a 12-month job search permit or transition to a work visa (e.g., highly-skilled professional visa with a job offer paying at least €40,000/year).
